Marvin Larry Beard

Marvin Larry Beard, 83, ran into the arms of Jesus on June 5, 2026 after a long battle of a rare form of cancer, angiosarcoma. He was born in Laurel, Mississippi to his parents Marvin R. Beard and Edna Loper Beard on April 22, 1943. Larry was proud to serve his country in the United States Army. He worked as a machinist in the plants and had a deep passion for racing and gardening. He was a good and faithful servant of our Lord and Savior, showing a passion for missions in which he built vehicles to send to the mission fields.
. Larry will be deeply missed by the many people that had the privilege to know and love him.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years Pamela Meades Beard, Larry “Dewayne” Beard, Scott Williams (Amber), Russell Williams (Debra), Pamela Guthrie, Travis Duncan (Rene), Tonya Beard, grandchildren Sean Carswell (Brittany), Haley Williams, Tyler Williams, numerous other grandchildren and great-grandchildren, sister Glenda Abernathy, and special friend Dennis Allen.

He is preceded in passing by his parents Marvin R. Beard and Edna Loper Beard, sister Francis Beard, and daughter Becky Beard.

Pallbearers will be Haley Williams, Tyler Williams, Sean Carswell, Jody McDonald, Jerry Dedon, and Dale Graham.

The family requests any donations to be made to the American Cancer Society.

A special thank you for the loving care from Mary Byrd Perkins, Pinnacle Hospice with a specific thanks to his nurse, Shana, and his nurse Michelle at The Crossing.

Visitation will be held at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs on Tuesday, June 9, 2026 from 12:00pm to 2:00pm with a funeral service starting at 2:00pm. Burial will follow at Vickers Cemetery in Walker.
