Mary Kathleen Dupepe

Mary Kathleen Dupepe, born in East St. Louis, Illinois, of a family with 11 children and was currently residing in Denham Springs, Louisiana, passed away June 10, 2025, at the age of 74. Mary (went by Kathy) was a devoted employee who worked at Walmart for over 24 years. She loved her daughters, grandchildren, and great-grandchild very much but liked to keep to herself for the most part. She was a strong, independent, and hardworking single mother who always got what needed to be done, done! Even if that entailed having to work two jobs. She just wanted to be able to support her daughters and be a good mom. Kathy had a reputation for saying what was on her mind and never sugarcoating it for anybody. She had a heart of gold and would rather go without than see the people she cared for and loved go without anything. Kathy will always be dearly missed, and her memory will always be kept alive by all those who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her daughter, Paula Copeland and fiancé Shawn Rousseau; grandchildren, Jessica Meadows and Tyler Boggan; great-grandchild, Kane Aucoin; sisters, Alice White, Gwen Lambert, Patty Champagne, Vicki Rodgers, and Tracy Esmond; brothers, Mark Purkhiser, Brian Purkhiser, and Carl Shanks.

She is preceded in death by her daughter Julie Boggan and sister Anna Viger.
