Mary Virginia Geoghegan Greer

To everything there is a season and a time for every purpose under heaven. Today we celebrate the life of our mother, Mary Virginia Geoghegan Greer.

Mary left this world on May 1, 2026 to be reunited with her husband, Horace Oscar Greer, her parents, Archie Vaughan and Bessie Perry Geoghegan, her daughter, Kathy Virginia Greer, her sons-in-law, Jerry Valentine, Sr. and Robby Smith, and her brother and his wife, Archie Vaughan and Elizabeth Ann Geoghegan.

She is survived by her daughters, Tammy Valentine and Christy Smith and a son, Thomas Greer, five grandchildren, Brittany Seal and husband Jamie, Stephanie Ryals and husband Brian , Jerry Valentine, Jr. and wife Kelsey, Randa Smith, Catlyn Smith and husband Logan Miller. Mary was blessed with eight great grandchildren Caden Gettys, Raegan Falcon, Paige and Braxton Ryals, Kameron and Jordan Seal, and Micah and Lane Valentine as well as many nieces and nephews.

We would like to thank Heart of Hospice for the care and love they showed our mother during this trying time.

Our hearts may be heavy today, but may we rejoice in knowing she has reached her heavenly home.

A celebration of life will follow at a later date.
