Mary Lou Griffin

Mary Lou Hays Griffin, 90, native of Centreville, Mississippi, longtime resident of Denham Springs, Louisiana passed away Tuesday, October 7, 2025 at her home in Chatham, Illinois. Mary worked for many years with the Louisiana Department of Health in Denham Springs before retiring. She always enjoyed reading and was an avid gardener. Mary also spent many hours with her friends quiliting items for our veterans, nursing home residents and homeless communities. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend and will be missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack G. Griffin; son, Gary Griffin; granddaughter, Mandy Griffin; parents, Harry and Donnis Hays; four brothers and three sisters.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Vicky and Greg Ratliff; three grandchildren, Ava, Alivia, and Carter; and sisters, Carolyn Kinebrew and Sarah Smith.

Visitation will be held at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, Saturday, October 18, from 9 a.m. until service at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Denham Springs Memorial Cemetery.
