Mary Ann Luper

Mary Ann Cutrer Luper passed at the age of 63 on August 29, 2025. She was born in Amite, Louisiana on November 3, 1961 to her parents Clem Cutrer and Blanchie Murle Powell Reid. Mary took pride in taking care of her family and dedicated her life towards it. She enjoyed many years of coaching her daughters’ softball teams, as well as coaching Pine’s Explorer post 254 to the National Championship in Canoeing. She will be dearly missed by those that had the joy to know and love her. 

She is survived by her spouse of 18 years Gregg Asarito, daughters Tabatha “Michelle” Luper Stafford (John) and Shannon Luper McMillan (Danny), grandchildren Amy Stafford Murphy, Kammie Stafford, Rebecca Stafford, Madison Martin, and Mika McMillan, great-grandchildren Harper Webb, Oaklynn Stewart, Ayden Stewart, and Baelin Murphy, and special cousin Liz Heck. 

She is preceded in death by her husband Carlos L. Luper, parents Clem Cutrer and Blanchie Murle Powell Reid, daughter Carla Nicole “Nicki” Luper West, and grandchild Christa Martin. 

The family will have a Celebration of Life at a later time.
