Mary Katherine Tiner

Melissa Katherine Tiner, known to family and friends as Kat, passed away on February 6, 2026, at the age of 59. She lived in Watson, Louisiana.

Katherine had a lifelong interest in animals, history, and plants. She approached life with a strong sense of independence and held firmly to her own perspective, qualities that shaped her relationships and the way she moved through the world.

She is survived by her children, Zach Langlois, Hanna Bannister, and Ellie Snyder; her mother, Janice Story Tiner; her brother, David Tiner; her sisters, Laura Inman and Karen Wright; and her niece and nephews.

Katherine was preceded in death by her father, Wayne Kenyon Tiner, and her grandparents, Polk and Lucille Tiner, and Gordy and Veda Story.

In accordance with her wishes, she will be cremated, and her ashes will be scattered by her family at a later date.
