Mary Anne Traweek McNabb gloriously stepped into eternity to join Jesus in Heaven in the early morning hours of Christmas Day, December 25th, 2025 at 1:26 AM. Her passing on such a holy day is a reminder of the promise of eternal life and the peace she now knows in Heaven. Born on January 24th, 1941, Mary Anne lived a life marked by quiet faith and her love for others.
She found joy in drawing, painting, and sewing- using her God given talents to not only create beauty, but to bring comfort and peace to those around her. Her hands were rarely still, and her heart was always open. Mary Anne was actively involved in her local Council On Aging, where she built lasting friendships. She has a way of making people feel seen and welcomed, and her spirit left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
She is now joyfully reunited in Heaven with her mother, Hester Traweek, father, Olin Traweek Sr., brother Olin Traweek Jr., daughter-in-law Rita Fontenot., and former husband John Fontenot.
Left to honor her life and continue her legacy are her son, Michael Fontenot; her daughter and son-in-law, Tracy and Earl Price; Her grandchildren, Hannah and Derrick Welch, Megan and Taylor Berthelot, Matthew Price, Landon and Katelyn Fontenot, and her eight precious great-grandchildren, Braylon Welch, Avannah Welch, Raegan Berthelot, Kason Fontenot, Faye Welch, Joseph Berthelot, Pyper Welch, and Kohen Fontenot who were her pride and joy; also left to commemorate her life, her precious dog Mandy.
Mary Anne’s life was a beautiful testimony of love, faith, and service. Though our hearts ache because of her absence, we are comforted in knowing that she is now in Heaven, rejoicing with all the angels and reunited with family and friends that have left this Earth.
Serving as pallbearers will be Earl Price, Matthew Price, Landon Fontenot, Derrick Welch, Braylon Welch, and Taylor Berthelot.
Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Seale Funeral Home, 1720 S. Range Ave., Denham Springs, on Saturday, January 3, 2026, from 10:00 AM until the funeral Service at 1:00 PM. The graveside service and burial will follow at Bellevue Memorial Park, in Opelousas, LA.
