Melanie DeEtte Williams

Melanie “Charlie” DeEtte Williams, 59, of Walker, Louisiana, passed away Sunday, May 17, 2026, at her home. Charlie is a native of Baton Rouge and worked at a legal assistant. She was a loving mother, sister, aunt, and friend to many and will be missed dearly by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her life partner Joseph "Joey" Daniel Cormier, parents, John W. Williams Sr. and Deanna Carbo; and her brother, John W. “Wes” Williams Jr.

Charlie is survived by her son, Ayden Daniel Cormier; sister, Johanna Porche; brother, Warren Williams; nieces, Annalee Starks, Amalia Ferguson, Rhandi Porche, and Katie Porche; nephew, Jacob McNemar; as well as Gene and Sandra Cormier.

Visitation will be held at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, Monday, June 1, from 11 a.m. until memorial service at 2 p.m. in the South Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
