Melissa Maxine May

Melissa Maxine “Lissa” May, 44 years old, of Denham Springs, LA passed away on Friday, December 8, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.  She is survived by her mother and father David and Judy Provost, her three sisters; Christy Duke, and husband Aaron of Walker, LA, Ashley Gaines and husband John of Denham Springs and Caryn Provost of Denham Springs.  Niece and nephews Holden Duke, Hydie Duke, Hunter Duke, Jackson Gaines, Jameson Gaines, Judson Gaines, Jaison Gaines and great nephews Marik Smith, Leon Smith and Maddox Duke along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends that were like family.  She was preceded in death by her biological father, William D. May, her maternal grandparents Oswald and Margaret Morris, paternal grandparents J.W. and Myrtle May and grandfather George Provost.  Melissa loved music and spending time with her family and friends.  She never met a stranger.  She had a big heart and would give you the shirt off her back if you needed it.  She always made everyone she met feel important and special.   A memorial service for Melissa May will be held Thursday, December 14, 2023, at Hebron Baptist Church at 9:00 a.m. in Denham Springs, LA.
