Michael John Feifer

Michael John Feifer, resident of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, passed away at home at the age of 74 on November 24, 2025. He was born in Champaign, Illinois, to his parents, Hebert G. Feifer and Joyce B. Feifer (Zuidweg), on January 30, 1951. He graduated from G. N. Tremper High School in Kenosha, Wisconsin, and later pursued an Associate's Degree in Automotive Technology from Gateway Technical College. He worked for many years as a certified mechanic. Michael was also a proud veteran of the United States Army and a member of the Army Reserve until retirement, "hooah"! He was an avid member of the Sports Car Club of America, as well as NOLA Motorsports. Michael had a need for speed, and he enjoyed spending his free time building and racing cars, flagging and performing pit work at racetracks in Wisconsin, Georgia, and Louisiana, as well as riding motorcycles. Attending Mardi Gras parades was also a special joy of his. He never met a stranger and was always the first to give a friendly smile and 'hello', no matter where he was or whom he was befriending. He will be dearly missed by the many people who had the joy and privilege of knowing and loving him.

He is survived by his former spouse of nine years, Christine Tutlewski, daughter Megan Feifer, the memory of his late son Eric Feifer, grandson Benjamin Thomas Brumley, sisters Jan Sinclair and Leigh Feifer-Reisch, brother-in-law James Sinclair, nephew John Sinclair (Sara), cousins Lynn Fox and Karen English, and his beloved granddogs Ellie and Wyatt. He is preceded in death by his son, Eric Feifer, and his parents, Hebert G. Feifer and Joyce.
