Michael Boyd Martin “Mike” born in Baton Rouge and a resident of Denham Springs, passed away September 29, 2024 at the age of 58. He graduated from Woodlawn High School and worked in the mobile home industry for years. He then became a contractor/carpenter building and remodeling homes. He was a member of Live Oak Church in Watson. Mike was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He also enjoyed spending time with his wife building things and you could often find them in their shop working on a new project. He was also known for his dramatic story telling with sounds effects. He was a loving husband and father and will be missed dearly by all those who knew and loved him.

He is survived by wife; Tracye Buschmihle Martin of 29 years, children; Paige, Garrett, and Randi Martin. grandchildren; Abel and Baylor Hughes, Hayden Martin and Lennon Boudreaux, brother; Matt Martin, sister; Haley Riffe (Dale), sister-in-law; Wanda Martin, brother-in-law; Brett Massingill, Mother-in-law; Becky Massingill, Father-in-law; Gene Buschmihle, as well as his beloved dog Bella.

He is preceded in death by his mother; Betty Jo Baker, father; Tommy Martin, brother; Marty Martin and father-in-law Sidney Massingill.

The family would like to give a special thanks to all of his friends that checked on him these last few months and also Adam Donahue who gave his love and support to Mike and our family and was by Mike’s side to the very end. A memorial visitation will take place on Wednesday October 9, 2024 at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs from 11:00 AM -2:00 PM.
