Michael E Yeager

Michael E. Yeager born in Des Moines, Iowa, passed away in Denham Springs, Louisiana on May 28, 2026 at the age of 68.

Michael was a devoted boat captain whose career spanned an impressive 50 years. He dedicated his life to the water, navigating countless journeys with skill and passion. He was not only a dedicated professional but also a man who cherished the simple joys of life. He loved motorcycles, often finding freedom and exhilaration on the open road. Equally important to him was the time spent with family and friends—moments filled with laughter, warmth, and connection that he held dear. His loving spirit will be missed deeply by all those who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his beloved son, Chad Yeager; grandchild, Riley Yeager; brothers, Mark and Mitchell Yeager; nephew, Brandon Yeager, and his nieces, Brittney Mitchell (Jonathan) and Angel Yeager.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Carmalita Yeager, as well as his paternal grandparents. 

The family is having a private memorial service that will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2026.
