Mitchell Anthony Bond
July 13, 1986 – October 22, 2026
Mitchell Anthony Bond, a native of Walker, Louisiana, passed away on October 22, 2026, at the age of 40.
He was a loving son, fiancé, father, uncle, cousin, and friend to all who knew him. Throughout his life, he built meaningful relationships and created lasting memories with the people he loved most.
He was fortunate to find the love of his life in Anna A. Smith, his beloved fiancée, who held a special place in his heart. Their love was a cherished part of his life, and the memories they made together will forever be treasured.
He also shared an irreplaceable bond with Andy Raffield, his best friend since childhood. Their friendship stood the test of time, growing from childhood memories into a lifelong connection filled with laughter, loyalty, and brotherhood. The friendship they shared was truly special, and the bond they built over the years will never be forgotten.
Mitchell loved his mighty God, and his faith was an important part of his journey. He was finding his way onto the right path, growing in his walk with the Lord and embracing the direction God was leading him. His journey was a reminder that God continues to work in our lives, guiding us with love, grace, and purpose. His faith and the steps he was taking forward will remain a meaningful part of his story and a cherished memory for those who loved him.
A hardworking man, Mitchell took pride in what he did and had a genuine passion for operating cranes. He enjoyed his work and the satisfaction of doing a job well. Outside of work, he found happiness in leatherworking, listening to music, fishing, stirring a crawfish pot, and spending time with family and friends. He appreciated the moments that brought people together and created memories that would last a lifetime.
Above all, Mitchell will be remembered for the love he gave, the friendships he treasured, his strong work ethic, his growing faith, and the lasting impression he made on everyone he met. His presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on through the people who loved him, the stories they continue to share, and the faith that gave him hope along his journey.
Those left to cherish his memory include his beloved fiancée, Anna A. Smith; his daughter Addison Bond; his mother, Lorie Bond Schatzle (James); siblings, Mark Bond (Linda), Brad Bond (Meagan), Jaime Schatzle (Dechelle); along with his, nieces, nephews, extended family, and many dear friends, including his lifelong best friend, Andy.
He was preceded in death by his father David Bond, paternal grandparents Richard Howard and Anna Rachel Bond, maternal grandparent Leona Martello Leleaux, and Uncle Michael W. Bond.
Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Seale Funeral Home, 1720 S. Range Ave., Denham Springs, LA, on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, from 5:00 PM until the funeral service at 7:00 PM, officiated by Brother Matt Hayes.
Though his time here was far too short, the love he shared and the lives he touched will never be forgotten. His memory will live on in every song that brings a smile, every fishing trip, every crawfish pot shared among loved ones, and every reminder of the hard work and friendships that defined his life.
