Morris Charles Raphael Jr.

Morris Charles “Tony” Raphael Jr., 84, entered into eternal rest on June 12, 2026. He was born December 15, 1941, in Franklin, Louisiana, and resided in South Louisiana throughout his life, in areas including Franklin, Youngsville and Baton Rouge.

He was an outstanding athlete, playing high school football, baseball and basketball, and pitching for softball leagues as an adult. He worked in the oil services industry, and enjoyed cooking, fishing and sports. He had a special touch for making the best pralines around.

He is survived by sons, Timothy Raphael (Tracey) and Thomas Raphael (Cindy); and stepdaughter, Lacee Perry (Hunter); and their children, and grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Rose Anne Raphael; brother, John Raphael (Christine); cousin, Sarah Belle Minor; sister-in-law, Lydia Colligan; and special friends Kenneth and Betty Jean LeJeune, and former wife Angela Melilli.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Seartha Lorenzo Raphael; father, Morris Raphael Sr.; stepmother, Helen H. Raphael; and brother, Charles Berchman Colligan.

The family wishes to thank his caregivers at Harvest Manor in Denham Springs, and all who provided love and assistance during the recent months and years.
