It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Nellie Pauline Blair, who departed this life on September 13, 2025, at the remarkable age of 98. She left this world with a legacy of love, spirit, and having lived a long life filled with strength, determination, and faith.

Born on February 25, 1927, Nellie Pauline Blair witnessed nearly a century of change and progress, meeting life’s joys and challenges with unwavering resilience. A devoted wife, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, she touched the lives of many with her wisdom and steady presence. Known for her love of gardening, reading, playing scrabble, bridge, and reading the Bible Nellie Pauline Blair believed in the beauty of simple things and the power of faith in Jesus. Her home was a place of comfort, laughter, and fellowship, a true haven for all who knew her. She attended the First Methodist Church in Denham Springs.

After the flood in 2016, Nellie relocated to Raymond, MS and resided at Riggs Manor Assisted Living. She participated in Bible studies at Riggs Manor in Raymond, MS.

She is preceded in death by husband, Jack Alvin Blair, mother, Daisy Walton, father, John Thomas Walton Sr., brother, J.T. Walton Jr, sister, Vella Lee White, and granddaughter, Michelle Robinson.

Nellie Pauline Blair is survived by children, Patricia Blair Posey (James G. Posey), Jacqueline Nell Robinson, Randell Trent Blair (Tracy Blair), grandchildren, James Patrick Posey (Lesley Posey), Candice Posey Abbott (Eric Abbott), great-grandchildren, Samantha Posey, Stella Posey, Sophie Abbott, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Her legacy lives on in the countless lives she impacted and in the memories that will be cherished forever. A private graveside service will be held for the family on Tuesday, September 16.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her memory to First Methodist Church of Denham Springs or to Life Source Hospice. The family would like to thank the staff of Harvest Manor and Life Source for their dedication to service and support during Nellie's care.

Though she may be gone, her spirit remains, ever present in the hearts of those who loved her.
