Nelson Anthony Dupuis

January 25, 1946 – November 10, 2025

Nelson Anthony Dupuis passed away peacefully surrounded by his family. He was born on January 25, 1946, in Moreauville, Louisiana, to the late Theodore and Viola Rabalais Dupuis.

Nelson attended Moreauville High School and served in the Army Reserves. He spent his career as a dedicated Service Manager at Peterbilt of Louisiana, where his hard work and leadership earned him the respect and friendship of many.

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Elaine Juneau Dupuis; daughter Angela Dupuis Leger (Chip); son Chad Anthony Dupuis (Jaci); 4 grandchildren Blaine Anthony Leger (Ashley), Stephen Anthony Dupuis (Sara), Cara Leger Landry (Bill), and Alexandra Dupuis Baudoin (Joshua); and 7 great-grandchildren Hayley and Beau Leger, Addilyn and Presley Landry, Spencer and Clark Dupuis, and Freya Baudoin, who all knew him as “Pops” or “PawPaw”.

He is also survived by his sister Beatrice Dupuis Bordelon, numerous nieces and nephews, and was preceded in death by his parents Theodore and Viola Rabalais Dupuis, sisters Freddie Austin, Leona Marcotte, and Nora Travis; and brothers James Regis Dupuis and John Dupuis.

Pallbearers are Chad Dupuis, Chip Leger, Blaine Leger, Stephen Dupuis, Bill Landry, and Joshua Baudoin. Honorary pallbearers are Roy Dupuis and James Dupuis.

Nelson will be remembered for his warmth, integrity, devotion to his family, never meeting a stranger, and constantly cracking jokes. He was often referred to as “NAD” and the “Favorite Father-in-law”. He lived a life full of quiet strength and love, leaving behind a legacy that will be cherished by all who knew him. He enjoyed RVing across the country, riding motorcycles, and spending time with his grandkids and great-grandkids.
