Nettie Faye McCorkle Toms

Nettie Faye McCorkle Toms, resident of Walker, passed at the age of 68 on May 7, 2026. She was born in Baton Rouge, LA to her parents Henry McCorkle Sr. and Julia Kris McCorkle on July 7, 1957. Nettie was a graduate of Walker High School and devoted her life to caring for her family and home. She will be dearly missed by those that had the privilege to know and love her.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years Robert Lee Toms Sr., daughter Rebecca Toms Bridevaux (Michael V. Bridevaux III), son Robert Lee Toms Jr. (Leslie Gascon Toms), grandchildren Robert Lee Toms III, Cody Allen Toms, Dalton Toms Bridevaux, Hannah Lynn Bridevaux, Samantha Elizabeth Bridevaux, Amira Leigh Toms, Rhoswen Louise Toms, great-grandchildren Ryder Laken Toms, Emmersyn Skye Toms, and Hendrix Adler Toms, sisters Julia Higginbotham and Katie Langley, brother Jessie McCorkle, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in passing by her parents Henry and Julia McCorkle, and brothers Russell McCorkle and Donald McCorkle.

A visitation will be held at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs, LA on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 from 9:00am to 11:00am with a funeral service starting at 11:00am. Burial will follow at Walker Baptist Church Cemetery.
