Neva Cole Morein

February 24, 1950 — July 10, 2025

Denham Springs

Neva Cole Morein, loving Mother, Grandmother, and Great- Grandmother, passed away peacefully on July 10, 2025. She was born to Estine Cole and Virgie Wyble on February 24, 1950, in Ville Platte, Louisiana.

Neva loved the holidays, preparing the food and decorations, having her family come together and enjoy a meal she had prepared for them. An amateur gardener, she had a unique gardening style, from planting in tin cans to buckets. She had an eclectic decorating style, a yard full of frogs, turtles, and other what nots, as a professional thrifter would. Above all else, she loved her children and grandchildren the most.

She is survived by her son, Charles Dupre’ Jr.; daughter, Della Dupre’ Fontenot; grandchildren, Britney Fontenot Figueroa (Hector), Megan Fontenot Breeden (Philip), Brody Fontenot, Kirsten Dupre’ Ward (Jacob), Katherine Dupre’ (Damien), Andrew Goodwin (Abi); great-grandchildren, Antonio Figueroa “Toto”, Mario Figeroa “Maji”, Josiah Figeroa “Diggy”, and Owen Charles Ward “Doodles”; sisters, Mary Cole and Carolyn Saverio (George); and numerous nieces and nephews.

Neva is preceded in death by her parents, Estine Cole and Virgie Wyble; step father, Eugene Wyble; brothers, Donald Cole and Patrick Cole; sisters, and Vercie Fontenot and Patricia Ford.

Pallbearers will be Brody Fontenot, Philip Breeden, Hector Figueroa, Andrew Goodwin, Jacob Ward, and Damien Riddle.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at The Carpenter House of St. Joseph Hospice, Ochsner Hospital of Baton Rouge ICU, Fresenius Kidney Care, Father Joseph Bresowar and Deacon Mike Chapetta of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, and Seale Funeral Home for their support and care during this time.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Seale Funeral Home, 1720 S. Range Ave, Denham springs, LA on Monday, July 14, 2025 at 10:00 AM until the funeral service at 1:00 PM, officiated by Deacon Mike Chiapetta. The graveside service and burial will follow at Evergreen memorial Gardens.
