Nora Landry Watts , age 71, passed away peacefully on June 30th, 2025, in Walker, Louisiana. Born on November 30th, 1953 in Baton Rouge to June Graham Landry and Woodrow Joseph Landry Sr., Nora was a loving mother, cherished grandmother, devoted sister, and a faithful servant of God.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Myles Fred Landry, her beloved husband, Gary Lester Watts Sr., and their son, Gary Lester Watts Jr. Their memories live on through the family she held so close to her heart.
Nora is survived by her son, Joshua Watts, and her three granddaughters—Haley Watts, Addison Watts, and Sailor Watts—who were the absolute light of her life. While Nora deeply loved her children, it was no secret that her greatest joy came from being “Nona.” Whether she was cooking a favorite meal, offering a listening ear, or finding new ways to spoil her grandchildren, Nora poured every bit of love she had into her family.
She is also survived by her six siblings: Beverly Ferro (Anthony), Phyllis Saucier (Myron), Woodrow Landry, Jr. (Patty), Judy Landry, Kathleen McLean (James, Jr.), and John Paul Landry (Nikki). Her bond with them was one of deep affection and unbreakable connection—especially during their many cherished games of Pokeno, which Nora always looked forward to playing with her sisters and friends.
A lifelong LSU sports fan, Nora could often be found cheering on her Tigers. But above all else, she was known for the way she radiated kindness and warmth. She gave of herself freely and without hesitation, always putting others first and offering a piece of her heart to anyone in need.
A memorial service to honor Nora’s life will be held on Saturday, July 5th, 2025, at 1:00 P.M. at Seale Funeral Services, located at 1720 S. Range Avenue in Denham Springs, Louisiana. Family and friends are invited to attend, share memories, and celebrate the life of a woman who loved deeply, gave generously, and left a lasting mark on everyone she met.
