Oliver Larry Lampin

1945 – 2024

Oliver Larry Lampin passed away peacefully at the age of 78 on November 3, 2024 at his home in Baton Rouge. A proud graduate of Istrouma High School, he attended classes at Louisiana State University.  He was the owner of Bob’s Little Feet children’s shoe store, and had many loyal customers through the years. In his personal life, he enjoyed the outdoors, particularly fishing, was an avid reader, and loved music of all kinds.  He was a grateful recovering alcoholic with more than forty years of sobriety.  He loved nothing more than helping others on their journey to sober living and was a mentor to many in the community.

He was preceded in death by parents Oliver Louie Lampin and Lina Ursaline Jester Lampin, and sisters Linda Lampin Gibbens and Paula Lampin Sumner. He is survived by daughter Laura Christine Lampin and several nephews and nieces.
