Ollie Ray Poss Kinchen

Ollie Ray Poss Kinchen, 81, of Denham Springs, LA died peacefully in her home on Monday, March 4, 2024.  Ollie was born April 20, 1942, in Hammond, LA to Toby and Dorothy Lawrence Poss.  Ollie was a graduate of Hammond High School.  In 1962, she married the love of her life, Henry Francis Kinchen.  Together they had one daughter, Michelle.  Ollie worked in banking and insurance before retiring to take care of her grandchildren, Josh & Lindsay.  Ollie loved animals, and animals loved her.  She surely was greeted enthusiastically by her pets waiting on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge. She always had at least one dog, which she spoiled rotten. She devoted her life to making sure all the animals she encountered were well fed, and as such had a following of neighborhood cats, squirrels, birds and the occasional opossum.  Ollie is survived by her daughter Michelle and her husband Eric; her grandson Joshua Lewis, his wife Natalie; granddaughter Lindsay Canatella, her husband Steven; and great-grandsons Owen Henry Lewis, Scottie Met Lewis, Henry Samuel Canatella and Jake Wyatt Canatella.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Dorothy & Ivy Leblanc, her father Toby Poss and her husband Henry Francis Kinchen.  Visitation will be Sunday, March 10, 2024, from 1-3pm at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, LA.  In lieu of flowers, please donate in Ollie’s honor to your local animal shelter.
