Mary “Oydean” Gill, 92 years old and a resident of Denham springs passed away on October 4, 2025. She was born on June 3, 1933. She enjoyed cooking, going to the beauty salon, gardening and shopping; most of all though she loved spoiling her grandchildren.
Oydean is survived by her children, Gary Gill (Cindy), David Gill (Angela), Ricky Gill, and Marilyn Gill Bencaz; grandchildren, Shari Gill Hudspeth (Austin), James Gill (Dunia), Adrian Gill (Wendy), Amberlynn Gill, Micah Gill, Miranda Gill, Kenya Bencaz Wells (Shane), Heather Bencaz Evans (Daniel), and Jared Jemison (Staci); great grandchildren, Denver Gill (London), Dakota Mayeaux (Rachel), Kamryn, Cole, Ashl’e, Evelyn, Karoline, Karleigh, Kelsey, Isla, Morgan, AJ, Enzo, Axel, Gabriel, Logan, Averie, Isaac, Raylynn, and Luke; great grandchildren, Carma, Colton, Cooper, Lucas, Cheyenne, and Lincoln.
Oydean, is preceded in death by her loving husband of 68 years, Bobby Lee Gill; daughters, Bobby Sue Gill and Kathy Jemison; grandson, David “DD” Gill, Jr.; sons-in-law, Kennith “Pappy” Bencaz and Larry Joe Jemison; daughter in law, Diane Gill; and numerous other loving family members.
Pallbearers will be Adrien, Denver, Dakota, Cole, AJ, Micah, and Jared.
The family would like to thank St. Joseph Hospice for their wonderful care given; especially to our nurses Sherill and Karlie, and to our social worker Stacie. Thank you also to Caory Sullivan for staying at the house with Shari and helping with Maw-Maw.
Relatives and friends are invited to join the family at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, on Tuesday October 14, 2025 with a visitation from 10:00 AM until the funeral service at 12:00 PM. Graveside service will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park.
