Patricia Mulkey Chenevert

Patricia “Patty” Mulkey Chenevert, age 65, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 4, 2026. Patty was born on December 31, 1960, in New Orleans, Louisiana and was a resident of Gonzales, Louisiana for the last 20 years.

Patty was a devoted wife, mother, sister, and friend whose greatest joy in life was spending time with those she loved most. She cherished every moment with her husband and sons and found happiness in life’s simple pleasures, listening to her favorite music and watching old movies with her beloved husband, George. In her final days, her faithful companion, Sassy, brought her comfort and joy.

She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, George J. Chenevert, Jr.; her two sons, George J. Chenevert, III and Christopher Chenevert; and her brother, Robert “Robbie” Mulkey and his wife Virginia. She is also survived by many extended family members, nieces, nephews, and dear friends, including Alice Dubroca and sister- in-law, Diane Mulkey. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Ellen Stephens Mulkey Ehret and Wesley “Rusty” Mulkey; her brother, Thomas Mulkey; and her treasured Aunt Rosie O'Brien Montalbano.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the nurses, caregivers, and pastor of Hospice in His Name for the compassion, care, and kindness shown to Patty during the final months of her life.
