Patricia Darlene Giraldo

Patricia “Patty” Darlene Giraldo, age 69, passed away peacefully on January 23, 2026 surrounded by her family. She was born on September 24, 1956, in McComb, Mississippi, and lived a life marked by deep faith, boundless love, and quiet devotion to others.

Patty was a woman who loved Jesus with her whole heart, and her faith guided every season of her life. She poured that love into her family, especially her cherished grandchildren, who were the absolute joy of her life. Whether she was cheering during an LSU game, reminiscing about her years of ice skating, or soaking in the sun at the beach, Patty found delight in God’s goodness and in the simple, beautiful moments.

For more than 30 years, Patty lovingly kept children, nurturing generations with patience, warmth, and a steady presence that made everyone feel safe and seen. To many, she was more than a caregiver—she was “Mrs. Patty,” a second mother, a comfort, and a constant.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Jose Giraldo; her son, Josh Giraldo, and his wife, Lindsay, and their son, John Cooper; and her daughter, Megan Shepherd, and her husband, Jordan, and their daughters, Sophia and Stella. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, David and Mary DeCoux, whom she now rejoins in eternal peace.

Patty’s life was a testament to faithful love—love for God, love for family, and love expressed through daily acts of service. Her legacy lives on in the lives she shaped, the children she nurtured, and the family who will carry her love forward.

Though she will be deeply missed, those who knew her rejoice in the promise that she is now fully healed, fully whole, and home with her Savior.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family at Seale Funeral Home, 1720 South Range Ave, Denham Springs, Louisiana on Saturday, January 31, 2026 for a visitation starting at 11:00 AM until the funeral service at 1:00 PM. Graveside service to follow.
