Patrick Wayne Hooks

Patrick “Pete” Wayne Hooks of Denham Springs, LA, passed away May 16, 2026 at the age of 71. He was a proud grandfather whose greatest joy was spending time with his grandsons, sharing stories and lessons learned throughout his life. He was known for his strong work ethic and generous heart, he was respected by many throughout the community as a retired business owner and friend.

He had a passion for the outdoors, was an avid hunter and fisherman who cherished every moment in the woods or on the water. He was also deeply skilled in gun building and took great pride in his craftsmanship and knowledge. He also had a lifelong passion for building high performance motors and racing. He spent countless hours in the garage building engines, working with his hands, doing what he loved. He will be remembered for his wisdom and the unwavering love he had for his family.

He is survived by his siblings Penny and Kirk Hooks, his son Micah Hooks, and his grandsons Landon Smith and Mason Hooks.

He is preceded in death by his parents Myrtis and Patsy Hooks and sister Cynthia “Cindy” Garrick.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate his life May 30th at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs. Visitation will be held 12pm-2pm with a memorial service to follow at 2pm.
