Pearlie Mae Hughes

July 15, 1946 – October 2, 2023

A loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend went to her eternal home on Monday, October 2, 2023. She was 77 years old. She leaves behind to cherish her memories two daughters, Anita Ballard and husband Ralph, Robbie Barber; son, Johnny Hughes; brother, Ralph Degenhardt; sister-in-law, Pat Degenhardt; two sisters, Elsie Bankston, Rebecca Ballard and husband Leonard; eight grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and many friend. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Visitation will be held at Seale Funeral Home, in Livingston, on Saturday, October 7, 2023 from 10am until Celebration of Life Service at 12pm, Conducted by Rev. Jerry Hughes. Burial will follow in Hughes Family Cemetery, in Colyell. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 61 years, Rufus Warren Hughes; son, Micheal Hughes; son -in-law, Kelly Joseph Barber; granddaughter, Crystal Hughes; Daughter-in-law, Carla Hughes; brother, Pete Fletcher and her parents, Dewitt and Elaine Degenhardt.
