Phylis Marie Robertson,a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 1, 2026.

She dedicated more than 25 years to Kmart, where she built not only a career but many lasting friendships. After retiring from Kmart, she continued doing what came naturally to her—working with and serving others—through her work in retail with Rainbow. She remained there until her final retirement in 2020.

A woman of quiet kindness and a gentle spirit, she never needed to be the loudest person in the room to make a lasting impression. She was a friend to all and was known by numerous affectionate nicknames given to her through the years by the many people who loved her. Each name reflected a different relationship and a life that touched more people than she probably ever realized.

She was a member of Southside Baptist Church of Denham Springs, and her faith was an important part of her life.

She is survived by her daughter, Darla Boseman; granddaughter, Savannah Atwood and husband James; grandson, Cally James Boseman; brothers, Doug Robertson and wife Marnell and Leon Robertson and wife Cathy; nieces, Angela Robertson and Rebecca Thompson; and special friends, Roxanne Street, Cendra Moss, Bobby Wascom and wife Sherry, along with many other family members and friends who loved her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bro. A.D. and Nell Robertson.

Of all the titles and nicknames she carried throughout her life, none meant more to her than being “Grandma Sissy.” Her grandchildren were a tremendous source of pride and joy, and being their Grandma Sissy was a role she treasured above all others.

Those who knew her will remember her quiet nature, her kindness, and the way she made people feel welcomed and cared for. Though she will be deeply missed, her family takes comfort in knowing that her faith has been made sight, that she is at peace, and that the love and memories she leaves behind will continue to live in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Seale Funeral Home, 1720 S. Range Ave., Denham Springs, LA, on Friday, September 4, 2026, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The graveside service and burial will follow on Sunday, September 6, 2026, at Chilton Cemetery, in Big Sandy, Texas.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the The Lions Club International for the blind https://www.lionsclubs.org/en or to Southside Baptist Church in Denham Springs.
