Rachel (Bonenfant) Roth
1946 - 2026
In Loving Memory of Rachel M. Roth.
It is with broken hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Rachel on September 8, 2026, at the age of 79, at her residence in Denham Springs, Louisiana.
Rachel was born in Norwalk, Connecticut to Felicien and Alice Bonenfant. She lived the vast majority of her life in Fairfield County, Connecticut until late 2021 when she moved to Denham Springs, Louisiana. Rachel spent her earlier years working in retail department stores before entering the relocation services workforce. It was there that she embarked on her fulfilling career in the relocation industry, dedicating many years to working with various relocation companies before retiring.
Rachel leaves behind her children, Renée (John) Kozak, Laura Spence; grandchildren, Alicia (Jonathan) Henry, Justin Spence, Kassandra (Jake) Rose, Nicholas Kozak, Breanna (Ryne) Knecht; great grandchildren, Scarlett Rose, Freya Henry, Flynn Rose; siblings, Dennis Bonenfant, Rita (Robert) Shepherd, and Thomas (Robin) Bonenfant as well as many other extended family members and dear friends whose lives were forever touched by her.
Rachel lived a life filled with simple pleasures and deep affections. As an avid reader and crossword puzzle enthusiast, she found true joy in music, dancing, and the quiet comfort of a warm cup of hot tea. Rachel carried a lifelong, playful heart, holding a special fondness for her beloved childhood doll Saucy, her favorite teddy bear, Ted, and her favorite Muppet, Miss Piggy. Her greatest joy came from spending time with family and friends, creating memories, sharing laughter, and simply being together.
She leaves behind memories that we will cherish forever. Her voice, her smile, her laughter, her happy personality, her traditions, and all the little things that made her uniquely her will remain forever etched in our hearts. We find comfort in knowing that the love she gave so freely will never leave us. She will live on in the stories we tell, the memories we treasure, the traditions she created and in every heart she touched.
The heart and soul of her family, she leaves a legacy of unconditional love and guidance. As a single mother, her incredible strength and resilience taught her children to forge ahead through any challenge. Her unwavering belief in them remains their permanent guiding light. Mom, we will miss you more than words could ever express. We will carry you with us every day, in every memory, and in every beat of our hearts. Though we must say goodbye for now, your love will remain with us forever.
Rest peacefully, you were deeply loved, you will be forever missed, and you will never be forgotten. Until we meet again.
No services are scheduled at this time, a private memorial will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers/plants, the family requests donations be made to the St. Jude Children's Research
Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee (stjude.org) in her memory
