Rene H. Garcia, a beloved father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on August 28, 2026, at the age of 66, after a courageous battle against cancer. Born on January 11, 1960, in Havana, Cuba, Rene was the cherished son of Antonio and Maria, who predeceased him along with his sister Barbara.

Rene’s life was a testimony to joy, resilience, and love. With the infectious nature of his quick wit and giggly laughter, he had an uncanny ability to lift the spirit of those around him.

An avid fisherman, Rene found solace in the rhythm of casting a line into the water. Whether alone or with his family, he savored every moment spent in nature.

Rene was a devoted father to his children, Angela (Lucas), Tracy, Jessica, Tyler (Shelby), and Dylan (Brittney), who were his pride and joy.

His legacy of love and laughter continues through them and his ten grandchildren, Hailley, Kaitlyn, Wesley (Abby), Gabriel, Elizabeth, David, Kristen, (Chris), Sarah, Kerrigan, Cassiopeia, and Evelyn, whom he adored with all of his heart. Rene’s family was his greatest treasure, and he cherished every moment spent with them, creating memories that will be held dear.

Though we mourn the loss of Rene, we also celebrate his life and the mark he left on each of us. His spirit will live on in the laughter of his children, the joy of his grandchildren, and the hearts of those who called him a friend.
