Richard “Ricky” Ryback, 49, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, passed away on October 11, 2026. Born on July 10, 1977, Ricky was a disabled jack of all trades who enjoyed working with electronics, cars, and small engines. He also had a love for rescuing animals and a knack for figuring things out.

Ricky is survived by his ex-wife, April Kiger; his daughter, Makayla Marsh, and her husband, Ronnie; his son, Christopher Ryback; and his beloved grandchildren, Harmony and Haven Marsh.

He is also survived by his parents, Ronald and Darlene Ryback; his sisters, Lynn Morgan and Dawn Gattis (David); his nieces, Ivy Smith, Brylon Gattis, and Whitney Rogers; and his nephews, Dwayne Morgan and Chaz Morgan. Ricky also leaves behind extended family members, including his aunts and uncles, Carol Sullivan, Robbie Wise, Bryan Wise, Robin Little, Brenda, and Buddy Goodson.

Ricky will also be remembered by his childhood friends, including Mike Wells, Russ Matthews, and Kevin “Cowboy".

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Paul and Myrtle Wise; his uncle, David Wise; his uncle, Jackie Wise; his aunt, Pam Butler; his paternal grandmother, Agatha Ryback; his uncle, Gent Santleman; and his uncle, Richard Ryback.

Ricky will be remembered by his family and friends for the memories they shared with him. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
