Rigel shared 30 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Alice Rogers. He is survived by his daughters, Hannah Weems and Hayley Childers; his many grandchildren; his sisters, Glenda Hughes and Jane Nicole; his brother, Bobby Hughes; and numerous family members and loved ones.
Rigel was a hardworking man who spent many years laying flooring and carpet. Outside of work, he found happiness in the simple things. He loved being outdoors, tending to his garden, caring for animals, and tinkering with anything he could get his hands on. He had a natural curiosity and a gift for fixing, building, and making things work again.
Above all, Rigel will be remembered for the love he had for his family, his gentle heart toward animals, and the simple joys he found in life. His hands may no longer be busy in the garden or fixing something around the house, but the love he planted in the hearts of those who knew him will remain and continue to grow.
He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing.
