Rita Tanner Reulet

Rita Tanner Reulet, born in Baton Rouge and a resident of Denham Springs, passed away June 7, 2026 at the age of 74.

Rita was a proud graduate of Istrouma High School. Her consistent hard work and dedication led her to become the successful business owner of Children’s Express Day Care in Port Allen. Rita found immense joy and fulfillment in her time at the daycare, especially in caring for all the little ones. She also went on to pursue a career as a loan officer at Baton Rouge Credit for many years. In her free time, she loved to go shopping for antiques. Above all else, she cherished every moment spent with her loving family, creating lasting memories that will be treasured forever. Her kind spirit will be missed dearly by her family, friends and all those who had the privilege of knowing her.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Steven Reulet; children, Monique McLallen(Chuck) and Steve Reulet II; grandchildren, Annalise Russell(Joey) and Lauren McLallen(Sage Reed); great-grandchild, James Russell; sisters, Francis Bacot and Mary Alford(Jack); sister-in-law, Sue Tanner, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Percy and Lutchia Tanner; brothers, Percy Tanner and Lampton Bacot; sister, Marie Lucita and brother-in-law Sammy; as well as sister, Barbara Jones and brother-in-law Jimmy.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the Celebration of life visitation on June 20, 2026 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Denham Springs from 2 PM-5 PM.
