Robert “Bob” Earl Horn, Jr., passed away peacefully at his home on January 4, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. He was a devoted father, proud grandfather, and cherished brother whose presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Bob was born on December 22, 1949, in Cairo, Illinois. He graduated from Baton Rouge High School and went on to proudly serve his country in the United States Navy, dedicating four years of honorable service. Following his military career, Bob worked many years as a truck driver, welder, and pipefitter in the chemical plants, where he was known for his strong work ethic and reliability.
In his free time, Bob found joy in riding horses, a passion that earned him the affectionate nickname “Cowboy Bob” among friends and family.
Bob is survived by his son, Dylan Horn; his daughters, Holly Horn and Isabella Horn; and his grandson, Damion Horn. He is also survived by his sisters, Gaye Horn Young and her husband Harold Young and Mary Horn; his brother, Ted Horn and his wife Kat; and his extended Templet family members, numerous nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 46 years, Rhonda Templet Horn; and his parents, Robert Earl Horn, Sr. and Reeca Seneca Horn.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Modern Home Hospice for their compassionate care and support during Bob’s final days.
Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for visitation at Seale Funeral Home, located at 1720 S. Range Avenue in Denham Springs, Louisiana, on Saturday, January 10, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. until the memorial service at 2:00 p.m.
