Robert William Marks

Robert William Marks passed away on August 29, 2026, at the age of 84. He was born on October 1, 1941, in Chicago, Illinois.

Robert proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp. He went on to pursue a career in welding, taking him all over the world. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting, reading, traveling, and golfing. Robert lived his life with no excuses, no apologies, and just lived the way he wanted. He loved being a Marine and he was proud of his Jewish heritage.

He is survived by his daughters, Star Marks Maher, Karen Christina Bitter, Desiree Holden, and Monica Sparacino Dugas; grandchildren, Brandon Patrick Maher, Ainsley Star Maher, Holden Bitter, Marygrace Bitter, Hayden Dugas, Keston Dugas, and Jaime Lefeaux; and nephews, Michael Todd Doerfler and Andrew Paul Doerfler.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Harold Eugene and Bernice Marks; sister, Ruthanne Marks Doerfler; and nephew, Stephen Mark Doerfler.
