Rocky Joseph Knapps

Rocky J. Knapps passed away peacefully on Monday, June 22, 2026, at the age of 75.

Born on July 3, 1950, in New Roads, Louisiana, Rocky was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. He was a lifelong fan of LSU and the Astro's, he found great joy in cheering for his favorite teams and sharing those passions with family and friends.

For 56 wonderful years, Rocky shared a loving marriage with his wife, Glinda (Comeaux) Knapps. Together they built a life centered on family, faith, and love.

He leaves behind his two sons, Devin (Gina) Knapps and Jason (Jennie) Knapps. He was a proud grandfather to Peyton (Ashton) Stokes, Grace, Jude, Hayden, Gavin, Brody, and Anna, and was blessed with great-grandchildren Leighton and Hollis Stokes.

Rocky is also survived by his sister, Tracie (Paul) Johnson, and his brother, Larry (Arlene) Knapps, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends whose lives were enriched by knowing him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Kirby and Lillian Knapps, and by his brother, Steve Knapps.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Rocky’s life on Saturday, June 27, 2026. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church. A Funeral Mass will begin at 12:30 p.m.
