Roland J. Trahan, born in Lafayette and a resident of Denham Springs, LA passed away July 31, 2025 at the age of 89. Roland was a graduate of Cathedral High School. After high school, he went on to serve his country in the United States Marine Corps. His tenacity and unwavering hard work led him to a career as a project manager in the oil field for many years. During his free time, many of his favorite moments were spent outdoors. Whether it was fishing, hunting or playing golf, he loved embracing all that nature had to offer. His loving spirit and kind heart will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his daughters, Rolane Hughes, Jan Trahan and Perky Allen; grandchildren, Rachel Lester, Randy Lester, Lane Berry, Erin Berry and Kyle Allen; great-grandchildren, Kiara Azua, Mason Azua, Gracelyn Lester, James Lester, Mia Berry, and Kinzley Allen; he is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Betty Trahan; daughter, Patricia Berry; parents, Voohries and Antoinette Trahan, sister, Clara Dwyer; and brothers, Francis Trahan, Norman A. Trahan, and Wayne Trahan.
The family would like to thank Mark Trahan for his constant love and Wayne Dunn for being his Ride or Die.
