Listen to Obituary

Ronnie Lee Seal passed away peacefully at his home with his family surrounding him on August 25,2026 at 12:09pm. He was a man who loved deeply, worked hard, and never thought twice about helping the people he loved. To some, he was a husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. But to his family, he was so much more.

Ronnie was born on April 1, 1956, in Houston, Texas, to Woodrow Wilson Seal and Edna Coleman Bourgeois.

Throughout his life, Ronnie was a hardworking man. He spent many years working construction and hauling loads, never afraid of hard work and never one to sit around when there was something that needed to be done. He enjoyed being outdoors, fishing was his favorite with his long-time best friend Rudy Chandler, and most of all, spending time with his family and his 2 dogs Girl Dog and Tex.

Ronnie was the kind of man who didn’t always have to say he loved you because he showed you. If someone he loved needed something, he was there. If he could help, he would. He had a heart that made room for the people around him, and the love he gave his family will be something they carry with them forever.

Ronnie was the beloved husband of Kim Seal. Together, they shared a life, a family, and many years of memories that will never be forgotten.

He was the father of Ashley Miller (David Bankston), Leslie Gamino and husband Mike Gamino, and Jessica Seal.

And then came the grandchildren the ones who knew him simply as Pawpaw.

Being a Pawpaw was one of Ronnie’s greatest joys and greatest achievements in life. He cherished every moment he was able to spend with his grandchildren and took great pride in watching them grow. Gabby Davidson, Rylee Gamino, Isabella Gamino, Boyd Koczrowski and Maddox Bankston brought so much happiness to his life, as did his two beautiful angels in Heaven, Zachary Gamino and Hannah Gamino. His grandchildren held a very special place in his heart, and the love he had for each of them was immeasurable. Being their Pawpaw was a title he carried with pride, and the memories and love they shared with him will live on forever.

Ronnie’s family was his greatest accomplishment.

He leaves behind his wife, Kim; his children, Ashley (David), Leslie husband Mike, and Jessica; his grandchildren, Gabby, Rylee, Isabella, Boyd and Maddox; his brother Kenny Seal and wife Sybel; sister Barbara and husband George (peawee); brother-in-law Troyd Sanchez; and many other family members and friends who loved him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow Wilson Seal and Edna Colman Bourgeois; his sister, Betty Joyce Sanchez; his brother Donald “Duck” Seal and his beloved grandchildren, Hannah Grace Gamino and Zachary Joel Gamino.

There will never be enough words to explain what Ronnie meant to the people who loved him.

His family and friends will miss his voice, his presence, his stories, his stubbornness, his laugh, and all of the little things that made him who he was.

Rest easy, Pawpaw. FISH ON

You were loved more than you ever knew, and you will be missed more than words could ever say.

The family would like to extend their deepest and most heartfelt gratitude to MD Anderson of Baton Rouge Dr Millett and his team and Dr Russell and his Team.

Denise Johnson and the entire team at Angel Touch Hospice for the compassion, kindness, and dignity they showed Ronnie and his family during his final days.
