Sara Lee Ott Wall, 77, of Denham Springs, Louisiana, passed away peacefully at her home on May 3, 2026, after a lengthy illness. She left this world surrounded by the love she had so generously given throughout her life.

Born on May 8, 1948, in McComb, Mississippi, Sara was the daughter of Nelson Tate Ott and June Balogh Ott. She grew up with a joyful spirit that touched everyone she met. Sara earned a bachelor’s degree in Physical Education from The University of Southern Mississippi and later obtained her Adaptive Physical Education certification. She dedicated 33 years to the Livingston Parish School System in Louisiana before retiring. Her warmth, encouragement, and genuine care left a lasting impression on generations of students and colleagues alike.

Above all, Sara loved her family and friends deeply. She found great happiness in dancing, music, and sharing laughter with those she held close. Her bright smile and kind heart made every gathering warmer and every day brighter.

She was preceded in death by her loving parents, her husband Tommy Nolan Wall, and her longtime companion Ronald James Polozola.

Sara is survived by her devoted daughter, Mandy Wall Ferguson (Pete) of McComb, MS; her sisters, Doris Ott Harris of Houston, TX, Becky Ott Applewhite of Summit, MS, and Donna Ott Speed of Fort Walton Beach, FL; her brother, Nelson Tate Ott Jr. (Ruthie) of Osyka, MS; Jamie Polozola Gomez (Hunter), daughter of Ronald James Polozola; and Cooper James Gomez, grandson of Ronald James Polozola, all of Ponchatoula, LA; along with a host of beloved nieces and nephews and many close friends who will always remember her with fondness and gratitude.

In keeping with Sara’s wishes, there will be no public memorial service or graveside service. A private burial will take place at Osyka Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, a cause close to Sara’s compassionate heart.

Sara’s love, laughter, and gentle spirit will live on in everyone who was fortunate enough to know her. She will be deeply missed.
