Shawnee Karen Guedry

Shawnee (Karen) Lemoine Guedry, loving mother, grandmother, and sister passed away in the early morning of August 23, 2025 while sleeping peacefully at her home in Walker, LA. She was born on August 29, 1961 in Clinton, LA. She graduated from Walker High School, and went on to work in accounting and business management. She was a Notary Public for Ascension Parish and for the State of Louisiana. She loved fishing, riding her motorcycle, sewing, and reading.

Karen is survived by her daughters and sons in law, Shawna Lemoine and Thomas Duncan and Jodi Davis and Michael Davis; grandchildren, Layton Norwood, Landyn Elsaleh, Logan Miller, Lucas Miller, Brett Guedry, Lane Richard, Claire Richard, Morgan Guedry and Ashlyn Guedry; son in law, Ahmed Elsaleh; sister, Lori Fontenot; brother, Jason Lemoine; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Karen is preceded in death by her husband, Michael Guedry, Sr.; sons, Troy Lemoine and Michael Guedry, Jr.; parents, Betty Miller Carney and John Jules Lemoine; sister, Cindy Lemoine Gore Ramsey; son in law, James Cassidy Miller; and brother-in-law, Richard Ramsey, Sr.

No services will be held at this time. A memorial service with family and friends will be set at a later date.
