Sherry Lynn Ellis Smith

Sherry Ellis Smith, 69, a resident of Denham Springs, Louisiana, passed away Saturday, October 24, 2026 from her battle with cancer. A native of Denham Springs, she was born August 2, 1957 to Doris Watts Ellis and Lawrence Ellis.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alan Smith; father, Lawrence Ellis; nephews, Christopher Dean and Jeremy Glenn Ellis.

Sherry is survived by her mother, Doris Ellis; her three children, Angie Taylor, April Smith, and Charles Smith; grandson, Chase Smith; many nieces and nephews, along with many other family and friends.

Sherry was devoted to her husband, kids, parents, and to all who knew her. She always stayed busy, both indoors and outdoors. Everthing she did, she did for her family. The best words to describe her would be selfless and full of love.
