Sonya Rosamond

Sonya Rosamond born on August 26, 1971 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on March 4, 2026, in her beloved hometown. Sonya lived a life filled with purpose, love, and faith, deeply touching the lives of everyone around her.

Throughout her journey, Sonya dedicated herself to serving others, embracing her role as a minister of the gospel with fervor and passion. Her commitment to her faith guided not only her own path but also inspired many within her community. She loved her family deeply and cherished each and every moment she spent with them. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her, and she will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Richard Rosamond; sons, Logan Rosamond, Dillan Rosamond, and Tristan Young; grandchildren, Noah Young, Savannah Heaton , Tucker Bankston, Brayson Willis, Gabriel Chandler, Alana Willis, Serenity Rosamond, Ella Stamper, and Kaius Rosamond; parents, Linda Sutton and Ed Cronin; siblings, Leisha Landry and Shawn Landry; nieces, Nichole Jones, Ashley Jones, Nadia Landry, Piper, and Olivia Lowery, as well as nephews, Brandon Blount, Brodie Robin, Bryce Landry, Ashton Snyder, Brennan Marks and Gage Landry.

She was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Mildred B William and Mary Elizabeth Johnson, her grandfather, Percy Sutton, and her step-mother, Carol Cronin.

Services will take place at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs on Sunday March 8, 2026. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM-2:00 PM with funeral service starting at 2:00 PM and burial to follow in Denham Springs Memorial Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Shawn Lowery, Richard Rosamond, Dillan Rosamond, Logan Rosamond, Brayson Willis, and Tristan Young.

The family would like to thank Leisha Landry for preparing food, Linda Sutton and Nichole Jones for their love and care of Sonya over the years, and Shawn Lowery and Reba Crow for floral arrangements.
