Stacie Anne Langlois, a vibrant spirit who lived her life with as much gusto as a New Orleans jazz band, has taken her final bow on December 2, 2025. Born in the town of New Roads, Louisiana, on May 16, 1959, Stacie's zest for life was evident from her early days, and she carried that exuberance into every moment until she departed this world, at the age of 66.
Stacie was the cherished daughter of the late J.C. and Patsy Langlois and was preceded in death by her brother Greg and his wife Janet, as well as her nephews Jayce Langlois and Cody Scivicque. Though they left this world before her, the bond they shared in life remains unbroken in death.
She was a proud alumna of Louisiana State University. Stacie parlayed her education into a fulfilling career as a paralegal in New Orleans, a role she dedicated herself to for 37 years. Throughout her tenure, Stacie was not only respected for her professional acumen but also for her innate ability to lift the spirits of her colleagues with her humor and vivacious personality.
Stacie's passion for life was mirrored by her love for her home state's sports teams. An ardent supporter of the LSU Tigers, the New Orleans Saints, and the New Orleans Pelicans, she could be found cheering with gusto, whether from the stands or her living room. Stacie's heart was full when surrounded by her beloved pugs, Stella and Izzy, whose antics brought endless joy to her days.
Stacie is lovingly remembered by her sister and brother-in-law, Stephanie and Michael Lawson, her brothers and sisters-in-law, Cleve and Mary Lynn Langlois, and Lionel and Carol Langlois. Her legacy also lives on through her nieces and nephews, Kristen (Brian) Johnson, Lacey Discon, Trisha Langlois, Justin (Dodi) Langlois, Josh (Rena) Langlois, Ryan (Sydney) Langlois, and Maddie Scivicque, all of whom she loved deeply.
Stacie's story is not one of sorrow but of celebration. As we say goodbye to a remarkable sister, aunt, and friend, we celebrate a life lived fully, a journey marked by an unquenchable spirit and an unwavering love for her family, friends, and cherished pets. Her light will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her legacy is one of love, laughter, and the courage to enjoy every moment to the fullest, and it is with these memories that we will hold her in our hearts forever. She faced life's challenges with courage, never allowing them to dampen her infectious zest for living.
A gathering of friends will be held at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, Thursday, January 8, from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m.
Let us remember Stacie not with sorrow but with the same joy she brought into our lives. After all, as Stacie would say, Laissez les bons temps rouler.
