Stephanie Gross

Stephanie Greer Gross went to be with the Lord on October 19, 2025. She was born in New Orleans on March 15, 1949.

Stephanie was hard working, kind, generous, and full of love and silliness. She was a 1967 graduate of Lee High (Liberty) and an active member of the school’s Alumni Association. Stephanie was a member of St. Jude Church in Baton Rouge and a co-owner of State Lumber in Baton Rouge. She worked there in the paint department for over 40 years.

Stephanie was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley Joseph Gross and Josephine Purpera Gross, sister Ann Gross Galligan and her beloved dogs, especially Bullet. She is survived by her loving and devoted son Chase Rawls, daughter Shelia Gaskill, grandson Jon Harris (Veronica), great grandchildren Alex, Amelia, Charlotte, and the devoted members of the Rawls Family. The Golden Friends, Gayle Caldwell, Rosemary Wilhelm, Keith Manley and too many other relatives and friends to name.

A funeral rite for Stephanie will be held at St. Jude Church on Saturday November 8th at 10:30am. Visitation will be at the church from 9:45am until 10:30am. Private Roselawn burial with private gathering following immediately after the burial.

Memorial donations may be made in Stephanie’s memory to St. Jude Church or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
