Stephen John Myers, 75, a native of Shreveport and resident of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, passed away Sunday, February 15, 2026. Stephen was a graduate of LA Tech and served his country in the Naval Reserve Seabees as well as the Coast Guard Auxillary. He worked and retired from the Louisiana Department of Revenue as the Assistant Director.
When he was not working, he loved photography, trying new restaurants, candle making, volunteering, home improvement projects, being on the water, cooking and going to Costco. Stephen was also known for his kindness, intelligence, wittiness, being patient, and his willingness to help anyone in need. He was very loved by his family and will deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his companion, Marita Street, whom he would have celebrated 24 years together on March 8, the anniversary of their first date; daughter, Stephanie Myers; brothers, David “Keith” Myers and Brian Myers; and a niece, Debbie.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Vince and Sheila Squire Myers.
