Stephen LeRoy Parks, Jr.

Stephen LeRoy Parks Jr., resident of Denham Springs, passed at the age of 61 on April 28, 2026. He was born in Lapeer, Michigan on August 31, 1964 to his parents Stephen LeRoy Parks and Joyce Lester Parks. After graduating from Owendale-Gagetown high school in 1983, he worked as a security officer until retirement in 2019. Stephen was also proud to serve his country in the USA Army (Rank Private 1st Class; MOS 76C-Equipment Records and Parts Specialist; Primary Unit: B Battery, 1st Battalion, 12th Field Artillery Regiment) from 1983 to 1990. He was a part of the St. Jude Organization as well. Stephen loved Ozzy Ozbourne, Slipknot, and all rock music. He was an avid fan of NASCAR, WWE, and sprint cars, with an interest in scorpions as well. Most of all, Stephen adored his family and grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by the many that knew and loved him.

He is survived by his spouse of 32 years Lorie Parks, daughters Lindsay Clements (husband Austin Clements), Ana Simon (husband Johnny Simon), Jamie Lavon (fiancé Chris Fischer), and Amber Cummings (partner John Stone), grandchildren Talon Couvillon, Saya Rhodus, Dakota Mason, Atreus Simon, Chris Flager, Wayne Flager (wife Karissa Flager), Magen Flager Harlen Flager, Rakel Cummings and Celestina Cummings, JD McGuire and Carlos Cummings, great-grandchildren WrenLynn Flager Weatherford and incoming additional great-grand baby in October 2026, sister Sherry Parks, sister-in-laws Cheyann Parks, Paula Lapeyrolerie, Suzanne Lapeyrolerie, and Patty Lapeyrolerie-Thibodaux, brothers Mike Parks, John (JP) Parks, Scott Parks, and Robert Emmons, brother-in-laws Mark Hightower and Michael Lapeyrolerie, nieces Melissa Neal, Natasha Schulte, Brittany Farver, Maggie Parks, Ynez Sophia, Raven Griswold, Kamryn Alexander, Kaylee Alexander, and Allison Thibodeaux, nephews Corey Neal, Matt Bitter, Daniel Schulte, TJ Farver, Michael Parks, Cherokee Parks, Adam Thibodeaux (wife Angelina Thibodeaux), Derrick Alexander JR, Jacob Spencer, Jarred Parks, Joseph Parks, and Conner Emmons.

He is preceded in death by Joyce Parks, Stephen Parks, Genoal Hightower, Glenn Hightower, Charlene Lapeyrolerie, Cheryl Lester, Lyle Condo, Aidan Emmons and Kieley Parks.
