Susan Menier, born in Shreveport and a resident of Denham Springs, passed away July 7, 2026 at the age of 79.
Susan was born in Shreveport, Louisiana on July 4, 1947 to Calvin and Skeet Bogard. After high school, Susan went on to earn her Cosmetology license in 1970 and then her Barber license 8 years later. She had a passion for her job and was well respected among her peers. She was an active member of Hebron Baptist Church since 1980, where she enjoyed going to hear the word of God and share in the fellowship of those around her. Later on in life, she enjoyed going to schools and volunteering as a foster grandparent. She loved to spread joy and love to anyone who needed it. Above all else, she loved her children and grandchildren, and cherished any time spent with them. Her kind and gentle spirit will be missed dearly by all those who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her children, Troy Menier (Christina) and Scott Menier; grandchildren, Austin, Dylan, Marisa and Taylor Menier; sister, Nona Lafleur (Larry), brother and sister-in-laws; Kirk and Monica Menier, Kyle and Lola Menier and Jenny Menier, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her loving fur-baby, Coco.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Calvin and Skeet Bogard, brother-in-law, Brent Menier and nephew, Ryan Menier.
Relatives and friends are invited to join the family in celebrating her life on Saturday, July 11, 2026 at First Baptist Church in Denham Springs for the visitation starting at 10:00 AM until the service at 11:00 AM.
