Tana Gayle Downey Randazzo Adams

Listen to Obituary

It is with heavy hearts and profound love that we announce the passing of our sister, Tana Gayle Downey Randazzo Adams. She went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, July 3, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Born on June 28, 1961, she was a life-long resident of Pumpkin Center, Louisiana.

Tana will be remembered for her immense compassion, kind heart, and ability to make us all feel safe and loved. Her heart knew no bounds as she opened her home and arms to become a devoted stand-in mom to many young people throughout her lifetime. To many, she was a second mother, a trusted confidante, and a guiding light. Tana also devoted her life to being the absolute best "cat mom" to her beloved kitties Baby, Sassy, and Little Bit. They weren't just pets; they were her family and her greatest source of joy and comfort.

She is survived by her loving sisters Natalie Downey Davis (Travis), Toni Randazzo Morris (Mike), and Alicia Williams Lenz (Rod). In addition, she will be forever missed by her nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews (including her 5 little "Downey Cats"). She was preceded in death by her parents Billie Ruth Haltom Faust, Francis B. Downey (Junior), and Thom S. Randazzo, her siblings Karen Nadine Downey Kinchen and Roscoe Michael Downey, and her nephew William (Billy) Kinchen.

The family would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated staff of Oncology at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center, including a special thank you to Emily Ferrara for her love, compassion, and support. We would also like to thank the staff of APEX Hospice for their exceptional care, compassion, and comfort during her final days at home. Their kindness will never be forgotten.

Per our sister's request, there will be no public service as she wished her ashes to be spread in a special location.
