Thelma “Tee” Irene Jones, resident of Denham Springs, passed at the age of 82 on January 3, 2026. She was born in Walker, Louisiana on October 20, 1943 to her parents Ivy and Aline Palmer Jones. Thelma graduated from Walker Highschool and went on to work as a cosmetologist at one of the first nail salons in Denham Springs. Tee was also proud to open and own her own salon: Tee's Institute de Beauté. She had a love for life and enjoyed spending her time riding motorcycles, scuba diving, travelling, and attending church. Thelma will be dearly missed by those that had the joy and privilege to know and love her.
She is survived by her daughter Happye Dyer, sons Randy Baker (Phyllis) and Remi Baker, grandchildren Jesse Baker, Jarrod Baker (Meg), Justin Baker, Molly Baker, Beau Baker, Hannah Roux, Jeremy Roux, Faith Roux, and Grace Roux, great-grandchildren June Baker, Finnley Baker, and Teddy Baker, brothers Paul Jones, Curtis Jones, and Jerry Jones (Karen), nieces Paulita Jones, Tracy Jones, Marcy Jones-Wilkinson, Stacy Jones-Davis, and Shelly Jones-Morris, and nephews Paul Jones Jr., Greg Jones, Burl Jones, Davis Jones, and Hondo Jones.
She is preceded in passing by parents Ivy and Aline Jones, brother Bobby Ray Jones, nephew Curtis Ivy “Ike” Jones, niece Mandy Jones, son-in-law Jonathan Roux, and sister-in-laws Lolita Jones and Peggy Jones.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Ms. Carmen at Golden Age for her love and care.
There will be a visitation held at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs on Friday, January 9, 2026 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm with a memorial service starting at 7:00pm.
