Listen to Obituary

Theresa Ann Evans, age 84, went home to be with her Lord on the afternoon of Monday, November 2, 2026, after a brief hospitalization surrounded by loving family.

Affectionately known as “Ann,” she was a native of the Baton Rouge and Livingston area and a graduate of Baton Rouge High School. Ann was a devout Catholic. She was a parishioner of the Mission of the Sacred Heart church in Livingston. Her relationship with God was the foundation of her life, she found joy in spending time with family and friends praying the rosary.

She also found joy in spending time with family and friends in worship and fellowship at Faith family church, lovingly referred to as “house church“ by all who attend. Her faith carried her through life, and she now rests in the loving arms of her Savior, reunited with those who went beforeher.

A devoted wife, mother, daughter, and sister, Ann treasured the title of “Granny” above all others. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were among her greatest blessings, and she cherished every moment spent loving and caring for them. Her heart was never limited to family alone. Friends of her children and grandchildren were welcomed with open arms and quickly became her own, earning her the beloved name of Granny. Ann had a beautiful gift for making everyone feel loved, valued, and at home.

Though her faith was always at the center of her life, Ann also had a spirited love for all football. She could often be heard cheering passionately for her beloved LSU Tigers and New Orleans Saints. When there wasn’t a game to watch, she could often be found enjoying an episode of her favorite western, “Gunsmoke.” These simple joys, along with her warm heart and loving spirit, made her a treasured presence in the lives of those who knew her.

Ann leaves behind a beautiful legacy of faith, love, and devotion that will continue to live on through the generations she so dearly cherished.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Debi Davis and her husband, Troy Davis; son-in- law, Cecil Smith; three grandchildren, Cade Smith, Carisa Guillory and her husband, Blaine Guillory, and Grant Davis; two great-grandchildren, Iris Guillory and Hudson Guillory; two brothers, Leo Lott and Ronnie Lott and his wife, Pat Lott; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.

Ann was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 53 years, Mr. Robert “Bob” Monroe Evans; her cherished daughter, Cheri Smith; her loving parents, Dewitt and Theresa Lott; her sister, Nita Torres; her sister-in-law, Janie Lott; and her brother-in-law, Lawrence Torres.

Though her earthly journey has come to an end, the love she gave, the faith she lived, and the memories she created will remain forever in the hearts of those she leaves behind. Her family finds comfort in knowing that Ann has received her heavenly reward and is now rejoicing in the presence of her Lord.
