Tolley W. Fletcher, a resident of Walker, passed away on October 8, 2026, at the age of 102.

Born on September 9, 1924, Tolley lived a long and remarkable life marked by hard work, service, and a deep love of the outdoors. He was a home builder and a carpenter, using his skill and steady hands to create and shape with care. His craftsmanship also extended beyond his work, as he enjoyed woodworking and building cabinets and furniture, pursuits that reflected both his talent and his dedication to making things that would last.

Tolley was a proud veteran of the United States Navy. He served during World War II and was present on D-Day, part of a generation whose courage and sacrifice changed the course of history. His military service remained an important part of his life and legacy, and he was remembered as a proud and well-respected veteran.

He was also an avid outdoorsman who found great joy in hunting and fishing. Along with his love of the natural world, he enjoyed Thai Chi, bringing the same patience and discipline to that practice that he brought to so many parts of his life. Whether working with wood, spending time outdoors, or serving his country, Tolley lived with purpose and strength. His fierce and loving spirit will be missed dearly by all those who had the privilege to know him.

He is lovingly remembered by his children, Elizabeth "Betty" Guidry(Leonard(), Linda Supik (Ed), Steven Fletcher, Robert Courtney, Michael Courtney and Nancy Arnold; siblings, Lessie Rice and Curtis Fletcher, as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Leona Fletcher; his parents, Willie and Molly Fletcher; and sons, Richard, Mike and Tom Fletcher.
